For long lasting truce in Gaza and its surroundings, there is an immediate need of negotiation between Israel and Palestine, urged by the UN Security Council on Wednesday. The UN Security Council appreciated Egypt government’s offer to play vital role to resume negotiation as soon as possible to get a sustainable ceasefire.
France also took part in this matter and played a little role by issuing a statement that supported the negotiations between both countries. There is a condemnation among Egyptian people on the violence taking place in Palestine that caused deaths of more than 20,000 innocent Palestinians so far since July 8, 2014.
If the Egyptian government takes serious steps to settle this issue then we are also ready to move with strong response, said by British Ambassador Mark Lyall Grant. He further said that the role of Security Council is very important in this matter. In the last month, Arab countries also tried their best and presented a resolution draft that emphasized on stopping the war and to reopen the blockade for delivering aid to the affected Palestinians who have been facing violent confrontation for over one and half month.
Riyad Mansour, a Palestinian representative in United Nations, said that they want to restart the negotiation in Cairo. He further said that Palestinians want peace and they strongly oppose bombardment on innocent people.
On the other hand, Hamas, armed force of Gaza left a message for all foreign airline companies not to fly into Tel Aviv and also claimed that Cairo negotiation has been over without any positive result. Israeli forces continued air strikes across different areas of Gaza with a view to save their country fellows from the attacks of Hamas.
So it is going to be a hurdle which can cause damage to United Nations’ efforts to bring ceasefire between both countries. The UN Council is worried about the return of Israeli forces that can result in civilians’ deaths on a larger scale. They are trying to avoid escalation of the present situation and are trying to bring ceasefire.
Ban Ki-moon, UN Secretary-General, seems to be very keen to stop this violence and condemned it on Tuesday. He wants both countries involved in this battle to show flexibility and ceasefire immediately. He also wants Cairo talks to be carried on as it is really important to bring peace in Palestine.
