Hadith of Sahih Al-Bukhari, The book of softening of the Hearts, Hadith: 6416.
Narrated Ibn Umar (RA) that the Prophet (PBUH) took hold of my shoulder and said: “Be in this world as if you were a stranger or a traveler.”

وعن ابن عمر رضي الله عنهما قَالَ: أخذ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بِمِنْكَبي، فَقَالَ :"كُنْ في الدُّنْيَا كَأَنَّكَ غَرِيبٌ أَوْ عَابِرُ سَبِيلٍ."
سیدنا ابن عمر (رضی اللہ عنہما) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) نے میرا شانہ پکڑکر فرمایا: ’’دنیا میں اس طرح ہوجا جیسے تو مسافر یا راستہ چلنے والا ہو۔‘‘
