The PTI workers hurled bottles towards Geo News anchor Sana Mirza and chanted hostile slogans, as she tried to cover the PTI’s protest.
Earlier, the PTI workers also misbehaved with Geo News reporter Amin Hafeez, senior anchor Sohail Warraich, Ahmed Faraz and Jawad Malik.
Defying clear instructions from the PTI chief Imran Khan to desist from misbehaving with media persons, the party’s activists relentlessly harassed Sana Mirza who at one point could not take it anymore and broke into tears.
Geo News reporter Amin Hafeez sustained a bleeding injury when someone from among the PTI’s crowd threw a stone with full force hitting him on the head.
The PTI workers’ resorting to such misdemeanor against Geo News is something that has become a matter of routine as the similar situation was witnessed in Faisalabad which was later repeated in Karachi and now in Lahore.
As the last reports came in, the workers of PTI continued to besiege the DSNG van of Geo News while hurling of stones, bottles and whatever they can lay their hands on also goes on intermittently.
