PESHAWAR: Death toll of militants in Zarb-e-Azb military operation in
North Waziristan reached nearly 300 as further 47 militants were killed
in fresh airstrikes, ARY News reports.
According to security sources, Pakistan’s fighter jets bombed Mir Ali tehsil of North Waziristan due to which 27 militants were killed and 11 hideouts of militants were destroyed.
Large number of weapons and explosives were also destroyed in the process, military claims.
It should be noted that a curfew is placed on North Waziristan since Tuesday. Two military men and a civilian were killed in a suicide blast at a security checkpost at Spin Waam tehsil of North Waziristan yesterday.
Fighter jets also pounded Raj Gul and Koki Khel areas of Jamrud tehsil due to which 20 extremists were killed and 13 hideouts were destroyed.
